Who am I?

My name is Hayley and I am an exclusive pumper.
I have exclusively pumped for my daughter since the night she was born prematurely in January 2011.

Why do I pump?

I pump for a few reasons, my daughter has a class 4 restrictive  upper lip tie,  submucosal posterior tongue tie and 3 buccal ties  and she suffers from Sensory Processing Disorder and oral aversion. I knew I wanted to breastfeed full term and I was not going to let anything stand in my way.

What do I use?

In the first 2 weeks while my daughter was in NICU I was using the Medela hospital grade pump.

I was also gifted a Medela Mini Electric which lasted all of a week before I gave up due to poor suction.

I then invested in the Philips Avent Isis manual pump and successfully EPed for 42 months using this pump and then a further 12 months using a Spectra Dew and Spectra Handy manual pump. In total I exclusively pumped for 54 months with enough stash to get my daughter to 5 years and 2 months.

I have used Eglynol during my journey, however I stopped using galcatagogues and still managed to maintain supply through frequent pumping.

I have never supplemented with artificial infant milks or any other type of breastmilk substitute. My daughter has only ever received my breastmilk.

What’s in the future?

I started this blog and facebook page in order to help and support moms in their pumping journeys, I found very little factual information and advice when I first started and the support was nearly non-existant for moms who EP. I want to change that.

I am looking into becoming a certified lactation consultant and breastfeeding councilor so that I am better able to help and support mothers in their breastfeeding relationships, be it direct nursing or exclusive pumping.

I have recently written a book and it will be on sale online by the end of 2016.

Why do I do what I do?

I run this blog and facebook page because I know what it feels like to believe you have failed, I know what it feels like to have no support. I don’t want another mother to ever feel that.

How can YOU help?

I am always looking for personal reviews on breastpumps, aswell as any information, inspirational stories or studies regarding breastfeeding or breastmilk benefits.
If you think it may help another mom, we want to hear it!

Where can you send in reviews or information?
